Local Government Publishing House    



FSLD's Local Government Publishing House
has been active since 1990. It has issued over 200 publications presenting issues related to the local government, law and economy.

High level specialists in the local government, organization and management, law and administration, and the state system's reform, cooperate with FSLD's Publishing House. The Foundation's publications are usually addressed to local government staff and public administration officials, and they are to supplement their knowledge in the fields related to their responsibilities.

The offer includes publications in the field of:

  • local government law
  • local finance
  • management
  • strategic planning and economic development
  • organization of work and public communication in the office
  • public policy of local authorities
  • stimulating citizens' activity

Centers of the FSLD network also join in the publishing effort, as well as Colleges of Public Administration, established by the Foundation. This activity involves mainly the publishing of training materials that are distributed free of charge, as well as various information and promotional materials.

Within the scope of its programs to support the development of democracy in countries of Central and Eastern Europe, the Foundation also publishes materials in foreign languages. A series of publications in Ukrainian, Albanian, Serbian and Macedonian has been issued, as well as books in Byelorussian.
